Studios are opened to the public during regular hours of operation and visitors are invited to visit with the artists in their studios as they view both work in progress and work completed. Most of the work on display is for sale, and many resident artists of River Oaks work by commission as well.

In addition, space has been dedicated in both the Bolton House and the Studio Annex for exhibitions of work by resident and visiting artists and craftsmen. Contemporary Louisiana arts are featured in River Oaks exhibits.
