SUMMER CAMPS CONTINUE FOR AUGUST....ARTS ACADEMY FOR ADULTS TO RESUME IN SEPTEMBER!
ARTWORKS SUMMER CAMP
River Oaks Square Arts Center and the Louisiana College Division of Visual and Performing Arts are pleased to present the 22nd year of ARTWORKS.
ARTWORKS is a multi-discipline art program for children ages 5-12 (5 year olds must have completed pre-school or kindergarten program.)
Classes will be held Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to Noon at the H.M. Weathersby Fine Arts Center on the Louisiana College campus in Pineville, LA. Early drop off begins at 7:30 a.m. and pick up is between Noon and 12:30 p.m. Children will select three classes from the registration form which are grouped according to age. Each class lasts approximately one hour. All materials are provided. Open House will be held the evening of Thursday, July 17th providing students the opportunity to perform and exhibit their art.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 13
Tuition is due at the time of registration. Class size is limited. When a class is full it will be closed, so register early for best selection. ROSAC reserves the right to cancel any class if minimum enrollment is not met.
Registration cancellations are discouraged, all tuition pays operating costs of the program. Any cancellation before June 13 receives a refund of tuition paid minus $25. Any cancellation after June 13 and before June 27 will receive a refund of 50% of tuition paid. After June 27, no refunds will be issued.JULY 7 -18, 2008 AGES 5-12

CLASSES
DANCE course is an introduction to dance movement and self expression through basic dance forms (jazz, ballet, contemporary, etc.)

ACTING uses skits, games, improvisation, pantomime to develop acting methods used in a short presentation. Instructor ~ Tina Smith
GENERAL ART/PAINTING is an all media class exploring a variety of art projects.
Instructor ~ Penny Abraham
CERAMICS is the production of pottery through hand built techniques. All clay will be kiln fired.
Instructor ~ Hui Mak Yan
SCULPTURE uses a variety of materials to focus on three dimensional projects.
